In August 2024, I began collaborating with the global publishing group as editor of Gaia, by invitation. Since then, I have directed new publications and restructured the catalog. After mapping out the challenges and expectations, my first initiative was to propose a new identity for Gaia. The brand would better translate the editorial line, which deals substantially with the environment, human development, science, ancestry, gastronomy, health, photography and sports, among other thematic areas.
In addition to creating a reel portfolio, I drafted a manifesto.
Em agosto de 2024, a convite do grupo editorial global, passei a colaborar como editor dA gaia. desde então, tenho atuado no direcionamento das novas publicações e na reestruturação do catálogo. mapeados os desafios e expectativas, como primeira iniciativa, propus uma nova identidade para a Gaia. um marca capaz de melhor traduzir a linha editorial, cujas obras tratam substancialmente de meio ambiente, desenvolvimento humano, ciências, ancestralidade, gastronomia, saúde, fotografia, esportes, entre outros recortes temáticos.
Além de um reel portfolio (ACERVO PERMANENTE DA Biblioteca do Parque Villa-Lobos), elaborei um manifesto.

A Editora Gaia publica, há quase três décadas, obras que tratam da relação entre a humanidade, os demais seres vivos e a Terra. O catálogo da editora contempla a complexidade dos fenômenos e a beleza das conexões, discorrendo sobre autoconhecimento, saúde, alimentação, ciências, educação, meio ambiente, espiritualidade, esportes de natureza, cosmovisões indígenas, fotografia, entre outros recortes.
Se EXISTE uma interdependência entre a vida e a atmosfera terrestre, também há uma sinergia similar entre livros e leitores. Para a Gaia, suas obras são sementes de uma revolução silenciosa, muito além das abordagens tecnicistas, ao propiciar ao público mais do que livros: uma bibliosfera.

O Nome Gaia
É a fonte primordial de toda a vida: a Mãe Terra. Para os gregos, surgida a partir do Caos, a divindade personificava a força geradora. Gaia foi esposa de Tártaro e ex-esposa de Urano. Para os romanos: Terra.
Os processos integrados entre a vida, os oceanos, a atmosfera e a geologia são cada vez mais evidentes – inclusive os impactos provocados pela ação humana –, e tudo isso nos remete aos princípios da Teoria de Gaia, tal como formulada pelo multifacetado e visionário cientista, polímata e inventor britânico James Lovelock, com a contribuição direta e indireta de outros cientistas e pensadores, como a bióloga evolucionária Lynn Margulis, a geofísica e pesquisadora da NASA Dian Hitchcock, o meteorologista e cientista climático William Kellogg, o ecólogo pioneiro George E. Hutchinson, o naturalista Charles Darwin, os cientistas do sistema terrestre Andrew Watson e Tim Lenton e até mesmo os biólogos evolutivos Richard Dawkins e Ford Doolittle que, com suas críticas, estimularam Lovelock e Margulis a refinarem seus argumentos na defesa de que Gaia é um sistema unificado e complexo, de certo modo análogo a um superorganismo autorregulado homeostaticamente.

For nearly three decades, Editora Gaia has published works addressing the relationship between humanity, other living beings, and the Earth. The publisher's catalog encompasses the complexity of phenomena and the beauty of connections. Topics include self-knowledge, health, nutrition, science, education, the environment, spirituality, nature sports, indigenous worldviews, and photography.
Just as there is interdependence between life and the Earth's atmosphere, there is also a similar synergy between books and readers. Gaia considers its works to be the seeds of a silent revolution, offering the public more than just books — a bibliosphere — and providing an alternative to technical approaches.

The color green
